Movies and me..

Actually I watch a lot of movies…at the very minimum I watch a movie a week. It might either be online or go to the theater and watch a movie with friends or even go to the theater and watch a movie alone. The other day one of my friends was pointing out that “Eppdi da nee thaniya poi padam paakarae!” translating to “I dont understand how you go watch movies in theaters all alone. My answer to this question was like this: “Anyways once you enter the theater and the movie starts playing its not as if I will be talking with my friends who have accompanied me to the theater and it is the movie that I am concerned with.” If I were in India I would agree to his point, though there were times in India too when I went to movies all alone. Without digressing further I saw “De Dana Dan” last week and it was ok. A typical Priyadarshan movie in which all the situations somehow seemed to be contrived and there was this occasional laughter provoking scene. I saw this movie for two reasons basically:

1. Before this movie I was on a dose of some heavy movies like “Mulholland Drive”, “Swimming Pool”, “London Dreams”, “2012” etc etc..Some of them were good the others just about ok.
2. So I decided that it was getting a bit monotonous and I should watch a hindi comedy movie so ended up watching this

To all those who still question me on why watch such a pathetic movie I have a third answer too…Katrina Kaif..:D The next movie that am eagerly waiting for is “Sherlock Holmes” and then the big one next year…”Inception”. Hope Christopher Nolan comes with a good end product this time too. Am not that keen on “Avatar” though I might still go catch it up to get a break from my crazy schedule.

P.S: I have temporarily canceled my subscription with “Netflix” just too. It was getting kinda tedious.
