Sena vs ROI == Racism or not?

The loudspeaker has started blaring out again. What kind of an idiotic crusade is this? First the State bank of India is ordered to recruit only Maharashtrians…then when someone says that he is an Indian first and Marathi second wots wrong with that? Whats wrong if someone from UP comes and makes a name for himself in Bollywood? Does that stop someone who is a marathi from making a name for himself? Is this some kind of a riposte for what happened in the Maharashtra elections recently? I am no expert on politics but I can state for sure that the best way to react to a defeat in elections would be by doing more service to the common man, improving conditions for who ever comes and lives in Maharashtra or Mumbai yada yada. That is what makes more sense to me rather than shouting “Marathi Manoos” loud and hoarse! And the media and even some of us made a huge fuss about racist violence against Indians. Agar khud ke andar zara bhi jhaank kar dekhe tho hame maloom padega ki thr r tonnes of racists out there in our own country. If I were a third person or even someone from Australia and happen to read this shiv sena bull shit I would be wondering if our entire nation as such comprises a bunch of hypocrites! Any Indian has a right to make a name for himself in any corner of the country. Lets try and tackle such racists within our country first before raising arms against other nations for an odd incident!

  1. ohhh so true…it’s such a shame, this whole situation…we have all kinds of racists in our own country to clean up before we can even start talking about other countries acting against indians..

not much into politics myself, but have been reading this issue at many places and this hypocrisy just doesn’t make sense..

I do not know if people have an iota of shame when they go campaigning and pleading for votes. Instead of doing some good for their country all they r doing is talking nonsense!

  2. there is still hope Viswa, remember they dint win! they dint get enough votes in their own ‘maratha manoos’ land 😀
at the end of the day even a maratha manoos doesn’t want violence on the streets when their kid comes home from school!

They did not win…valid point…but then when u dont win an election the reason must be that u have not done enough for the people..(assuming a perfect scenario of the election not being rigged!) In response to this defeat should one not put more effort in doing something for the common man rather than shout at Sachin or Amitabh Bachan or order SBI on whom to recruit or not to recruit. I thought they might have that common sense at least. 😛

      • Sadly that’s the case. It’s not a lack of common sense of the political leader himself, it is a lack of tolerance by the ignorant ppl who don’t want to know any better. Beating up students from UP, assaulting in the Parliament, stone pelting offices that recruit non-marathi ppl, chasing celebrities around like a hound and other such acts of blind, mindless sense of vengeance is not actually done by any Thakre but by the ppl who fall for their brain washing.
        Dirty politics I say!

Of course yeah…The ppl who indulge in such violence take an equal proportion of the blame…wonder if these so called followers of thackerays have any brain of their own or if it is mixed with cowdung! 😛

  3. are u kidding urself when u wrote abt politicians doing service, maybe self service, yes!……..my money is my money n the janta’s money is also my money types.

Seriously, the Thackerays have taken it too far. I mean, maybe maharashtrians are sidelined, or there is a bias when it comes to recruitment, but what they are doing is not the solution; crying hoarse n evoking public sentiment, I hope another Babri Masjid does not take place again when the situation goes out of hand!!!

    Share ur senitments, Vishwajith
